OM addiction

we're coming back next year & we're gonna win it.

so u can probably guess that we did not win it but it was all because of one single glitch.

1st: Tampines polytechnic. oh really, didnt see dat coming.. but we beat them at spontaneous and they beat us at style by abit but dat's probably cos they made the link obvious by actually telling the judges what the link was. tsktsk.creativity?

2nd: Nanyang.pretty cool style.. weight slightly more than ours that day.

yes. we aced spontaneous. which btw i initially figured we screwed. guess not la. but we got 2nd to nanyang.

style? dude, we rock, no? planned a whole new skit by thursday. made funky props which btw had a problem wif the criteria cos we had too much? yea. hahs. fitting the props into the area & getting alternatives was pretty fun.. and also to coordinate the whole last minute thg.
our skit impressed the judges quite a fair bit i tink. they went out from behinf the judging table after the whole presentation and was like asking us bout the costumes, props etc. hahs. i tried using cheemology when asked bout my costume. weee.

ahh, well.
here's the depressant of the day.
basically the reason we changed the whole skit was cos we found the ultimate structure, ryt? yes. but blooody fucking shit ass we diden expect the pole to be so damn shaky laa.n its our first year summore so we reeeli diden noe. so like they were loading the weights and accidentally moved the pole which moved the crusher board out of the area. can bloody cry la. it was less than 1/5 of its capacity. 15.5?? the structure diden even break la please. dammit.

and guess what's the most crushing thing? we would have gotten 1st if we managed to get our full capacity or even more cos they corrected its weaknesses after its initial weighing of 100kg. n we had a spare structure too. if we only had the chance of re-weighing it. 2 judges said we could the other 2 said no.

yes. so in the end we got 4th. beaten by new town at 3rd cos their structure, which initially was near disqualified cos it diden touch all 3 bases but were given a few minutes and after which carrid a full load of 90+kg. but we beat them in the other 2 areas.

when the results were announced n when new town got 3rd. i was firstly stunned. wasnt expecting dat. we figured dat our competition would be sajc cos we had the same weighing. yes. so the next thg i did was to drop my head in lingxi's lap n started sobbing. i mean, we put in soo much effort. oh, n yihui found out from her nanyang frens dat their div 3 crazy columns team slacked their way through n ideas from their skit were also taken from their div 2 team. i hope they feel bad. unlikely though.

ahh.guess we really cant do anything bout it la. rgs got 1st for stunt mobiles and erm, laughaton div 2 i tink. n 2nd for laughaton div 3, 2nd for in your dreams div 2, 2nd for get the message div 3. oh. n the laughaton div 3 could have gotten 1st too but lost 60 marks cos of a glitch. hahs. we lost about 80 marks which was rightfully ours. finefine. in the spirit of om, must say that i really enjoyed myself overall. and our journey has only just begun. mrkong signed us up for bridgebuilding in july. we'll win that okae?

oh. n the teamwork was heartfelt. -smiles in recollection. hahs. i mean, we just knew each other this year and we couldve beaten a poly team with experienceee.woooo. oh, n i looove vivien. she reallly saved my ass. totally. omigoshh. i cant believe you remembered all those lines! ahhness. i was gonna cry right there behind that really cool backdrop cos i was extremely touched. hugged yihui alot yst. cos she n lingxi were the main structure pple n she looked like she was gonna cry every few seconds. and lingxi's really strong..

we let ourselves loose watching the other teams n playing wif mrkong's camera. hahs. chiobuu!

oh. have i mentioned? when we went acsi for spontaneous on fri, i saw him in no4 sighh. he looked sooo meltingly hott. gahhness. men in uniform..hahs.

ahh. well. lots of work to do. n hafta get no4 redi for liverange on tues. sighh.. gonna miss om on tues. the day when we get together again. the whole team together not split up doing our own work for the comp. gahh.
